Our game is set in a vast, ancient world called Mythros – a world so old that much of its history has passed into legend. It is made up of endless seas and countless continents with vastly different cultures, climates, and ecosystems. This world is meant to be a blank slate for us to forge our own story, creating and imagining settings and areas as needed. Due to the nature of this exploration, we will treat anything beyond the characters’ knowledge as being part of the unknown, and the characters will have to learn and question about the world at large, just like a person would have had to in the days before the geography of the world was common knowledge.
Our game makes use of much of the D&D 5E world, but I have picked and chosen what I like best, and names and aesthetics have been tweaked. Due to that, it’s best to reference our wiki for clarification on our setting as opposed to the D&D 5E books, though much of the information will be similar or the same. I will borrow ideas from other games, past editions, and from my own imagination, and I encourage everyone to bring ideas to me on ways we can improve our world, or settings you’d like to explore.
